Can I has breath now?
First class was awesome, I really like my new dynamics prof. It doesn't hurt that it's part of my favorite stuff in my major, but he's just so ANIMATED, and he LOVES WHAT HE'S DOING SO MUCH, and it's really inspiring to see after all the dull profs. <3 This man is awesome.
Good news, I don't have to get a new ID! So that shaved off some time for today. I still need to figure out what the hell building I'm in for my pilot lecture course, and then there's the whole, "crap, I didn't have a chance to sign up for internets for my room!" deal.
Also good news, my room ROCKS. The bed is lofted (which is kind of weird being up so high for me), I have cable (not that I'll actually watch that much TV), and again NO ROOMMATE. The bathroom down the hall looks clean and nice, but I managed to forget towels so there's no first hand experience there.
Luckily my parents are on their way to Chicago today and can drop off the shit I spaced out bringing (because you know, USEFUL things like towels, shower sandals, and an ALARM CLOCK aren't like useful or anything).
I think I may have to visit the student health center, too, because my back is not feeling good... at all. Fucking car accident.
Alright, so I had a really awesome time at Ohayocon, like I mentioned earlier. It's a nice small con, and it was pretty much us hanging around. Which I kind of like. I'm not all for running around to every panel and stuff. My sister also seemed to really like it, so that's awesome.
I also totally have a Yuna action figure now. I'd get boy action figures, but when I was growing up, I always wanted girl ones that weren't like, Barbies. So I keep getting the girl ones. I love how detailed the Play Arts ones in particular are.
Oh, and I totally got a Kain (from Legacy of Kain, not FF4) action figure for Christmas. So I do have boy ones. He's so GRRRR. It's awesome. I can't wait to finish unpacking enough to pose them in silly ways.
I'm really starting to like hardcore cosplayers. XD I mean, I was impressed before, but dude, you kids are awesome.
On a less light note, in case anyone was wondering, I think I won't get hit too hard by my insurance company. They're investigating the intersection where I was stopped, because I was sure I had a green arrow (since I was turning left) and the guy that hit me insists he had a green too. So, yeah. I got the ticket for it (failure to yield, it's just a fine, I'm not getting charged with reckless driving or something insane, as I was going fifteen miles an hour in that turn) which means I might possibly have to go back and appear in court, but the officer made sure to mark that it wasn't required since like, I don't live in Ohio.
Really, I'm just hoping the guy is happy that no one got hurt, is insured well enough, and doesn't try to be a dick and sue me. Because he wasn't very nice, sped up going into the intersection... it's not just me not looking well enough. I was kind of surprised to hear that it was another car that hit me (I was too dazed, the guy was yelling at me, so I kind of stayed the fuck away from his vehicle and just talked to the police and got info from them). I mean, it felt like I got hit by a pickup truck.
Also, seeing the passenger side of the car sort of has me a little scared of driving. XD Oy.
But it's over, just figured I'd write that all down before I get questions and stuff. Bottom line is no one got hurt, the rest is just material haggling.
