Well you're getting the wrong type of blazer, then. Knits have no structure to them, and you're probably actually making yourself plumper with them! TRUEFACT. It's not just something that they say on makeover shows. I tend to have to drag my mom out shopping and while I think she imagines a lot of her plump (like you, you're hardly plump as much as SHORT) there are things I've had to talk her into trying on that turned out really fabulous.

From what I remember of your dimensions (ha ha no clothing is totally not an engineering problem to me) you want to avoid something that'll end at your hip and go for something that's got a cinch around the middle. I've got one like that, I wear it as a part of my steampunkish gear (http://www.flickr.com/photos/21731007@N05/2532880772/in/set-72157603434524281/). It may not look it, but I've got a rather boxy torso. I'm just good at hiding it. XD

Something like this (https://www.openingceremony.us/pimg/main_1-oc-cinchedwaistblazer-pk.jpg) would actually prolly look really cute on you! The important thing is making sure that it actually closes; half the time people are trying on something too small because of who knows what.

Not to go all fashionista on you! I MEAN WELL. It's like how I got Drakon to give up wearing sweatshirts all the time. FOR THE BETTERMENT OF MANKIND.
