Request

I may or may not being making a request FST for [community profile] fst this month. And it may or may not be for McCoy from Star Trek (admittedly, he was my favorite from the Original Series). And it may or may not be a techno/country mix.

In order to make this happen, I need more country music than I have (which is kind of sad, because I lived in the freaking sticks for most of my life). Please refer to me your country musics. Preferably humorous or non-pop country, as I know that can be some kind of awful, as the radio stations around here reveal. If you don't know there are different types of country music, you probably live too close or in a city and probably cannot help me much.

That is all. I am up too freaking early after not having much sleep.

Short recommendation list for "funny" country:
- You Never Even Call Me By My Name
- Trashy Women

OLD country music rec list (from Jeff):
- Merle Haggard
- Johnny Cash
- Willie Nelson
- Hank Williams

OK, so where do I upload music to illegally send to people. I want to send Nikki some terrible American pop, too.

How about folk music? I have some good folk-y songs.

(They be modern folky songs so if you were looking for the kind of golden-oldies stuff, I fail.)

Any kind of theme, mood, etc?

I feel a moral obligation to send you some music since I always seem to steal music from you. XD

Folk music sounds great.

McCoy is just a cranky dude that's a doctor. If that helps. XD I'm about to fall asleep, so I might not be coherent.

Um... I don't know if I can help. I listen to a lot of country, but it tends to lean (I think) more toward pop-country.

I have a massive amount of country. Just let me know what sort of things you need and you can ping me via AIM to do this thing :D I am ashamed as a geek to say I do not know this character you make FST's for.

Country Pop is indeed in most respects abhorrent. :P

I much prefer Bluegrass, myself. ^^

I strongly recommend anything off the "O Brother Where Art Thou?" soundtrack, The Whites, Ricky Skaggs, Randy Travis, Earl & Scruggs, Doc & Merle Watson, heck just do a search for "bluegrass" on limewire or something and that'll throw you plenty of good tunes. ^^
