omg suddenly it feels like SUMMER. HARDKORE

WOKE UP TOO DARN LATE ARG. Seriously, I hate waking up late. I have Things To Do. Oh well. There is much to report, despite!

+ I think I might like Sarah Jane Adventures. I think it's because Sarah Jane is probably the most underused character type; she's over 30, maybe a little motherly, and not so badass not to have her vulnerabilities, yet still is awesome. And the show doesn't take itself seriously, which was something that I missed about sci-fi shows (without going into the Sci-Fi Original Movie territory of TOO silly). At least I have something to watch before BSG that is a little lighter (I mean, come on, I can only handle so much!).

+ I HAVE A WATER GARDEN ALL SET UP. WATER LILY AND A FLOATER AND AN OXYGENATOR! I don't have the little water pump (which is cute, it's made to look like a Greek or Roman pot) set up yet, but everything's planted. JUST PUT IT IN. Hopefully I'll have some blooms this year! Pictures here.

+ I'm going to the drive-in tonight, with a double feature of Indiana Jones and Prince Caspian. I fully intend on making inappropriate jokes during both movies, and having bad popcorn. I love drive-ins.

+ Almost done with a FFX Summoners FST because of [community profile] drakonlily and the fact that [community profile] fst needs some FF FSTs that are not about Crisis Core.

+ I love making breakfast, I kick ass at making eggs.

You should buy some baby goldfish and put them in with your flowers. It looks like your pond is deep enough to discourage racoons from eating them. If they're only 2 inches of so long, they'd be fine. They'd love a little pond like that. :)

I take full responsibility if you do anything awesome, like FSTs. ALWAYS!! <3

Also, so I watched battlestar stuff. I ship your ship.

It sounds like you’re in for a wonderful evening.

The Sarah Jane Adventures are just plain fun. Up until this afternoon I may have liked what I’ve seen of them more than BSG as it’s a little to jarring for me. That probably says something bad about me.

You’re lilies are pretty.

Well, BSG is intense. And I like intense if it's done well (like I think BSG does). Dr. Who, though, is in this weird place between fun adventure and serious drama, so I'm not fond of it so much.

But Sarah Jane Adventures doesn't try too hard to be Serious, so it's right where it should be in my brain.

Doesn't say anything bad about you, just that I'm a little on the pessimistic side and really like my emotions being toyed with. XD

Also, re: Your Post:

Well, I watched BSG from the start, and Adama pretty much had to be entirely aweseome from the beginning for me (as was Roslin, in a different way). I especially liked that he purposefully tried to be a little more distant from his kid not to show favoritism, but there were awesome bonding moments (and times they butted heads) between him and Lee.

But you're right about Starbuck and Lee sending him off... I love the inter-generational aspects of the show and how in normal circumstances the old guard would be largely forgotten, but since it's OMG INSANE they get featured. WHICH IS EXACTLY WHAT I LIKE.

When you get the chance, look up Season 2 (or the boxing episode from Season 3, which has cute flashbacks), as that season was pretty much made of awesome. And has my favorite antagonist (ADMIRAL HELENA CAIN! omg she was awesomely bad). Or wait around for a marathon, as they're likely to do one once this season is finished.

To me most of the conflicts in BSG are afterthoughts of the actually conflict so I’m a bit to jarred to appreciated the drama. I suppose it’s kind of like BSG is a bunch of side stories cobbled together and there’s the actual plot out there happening and we’re kind of missing it. That probably doesn’t make much sense. This is all probably because I tend to plot focused usual more than character focus so I’m not used to the experience. I shall have to wait for a marathon as I have a hung what I want to buy list going right now.

I should send you the recipe for Toast/French Toast Casseroles. ^^ They're great for previous-day prep.
