Being an adult means you take care of yourself when you're sick
I was rather ill yesterday because beer and eggdrop soup do NOT mix. FYI. Lesson learned. I didn't even go past my tolerance. Bleh. At least my throat and stomach are back to normal.
So I was a bad person and bought myself a dress because it was cheap and I really liked the color/style. It's bad because I don't NEED a dress and I try to be thrifty and conscientious. Oh well. It's my frivilous thing for like, the month. I liked the color, which is one that I look good in, and I liked the style because it was reminiscent of the 1930s, no matter when it was actually made. And it looks comfortable. I like long dresses, I find them comfortable. XD
I think that the idea of wearing an old marching band jacket is absolutely precious. I wish my marching band jacket had been that snazzy. Mine was a little lame (and my high school band has NEW ones now that are super awesome, so I'm jealous).
Had a fabulous dinner because my Sidekick can cook, and we're making some form of Korean BBQ next week. I had to walk home because the rest of the people went to see a lame movie and I'm not THAT in need of being social to see something dumb. I'm just not really into most "humor" films (more like humiliation films, most of the time). So now I'm just chilling.
I plan on doing that button sewing and stuff I intended to do this weekend tomorrow. And fixing up my hat. Seriously. XD
More JannoWriMo progress!
Behold the spreadsheet with the wordcount. Just over halfway to my goal. Making small goals is good for me.
So here's the links to the stuff I wrote since last update:
- The Goddesses [Original]
- Corruption (Vincent/Veld/Ifalna) [FF7 AU, Must Be Dreaming]
- Revenge is a Dish (Isshiki, Sayoko) [RahXephon]
I also believe in Canadian folk singers.

P.S. I love Britney Spears parodies, I can't lie.

A++ wearing of marching band jacket in a cute way!! I'm a sucker for that style of jacket, all military-esque.
Similarly to your band jacket plight, I was always disappointed because I took dance lessons for many years, and EVERY YEAR my class got stuck with either a really lame costume or one that was just too weird for words (like a spandex jumpsuit with neon floral print all over it) that I could never use again for anything awesome. Save for the sparkly black-sequined jacket that I wore to be Michael Jackson once. But ONE OUT OF LIKE 10 YEARS IS UNNACCEPTABLE.

And me too. I have an Eisenhower style flight jacket and a Garrison Cap because of my nerdiness there. XD
Those costumes sound like what my show choir and guard had to wear. As lame as my marching band uniform was, with the shakos (HUGE FEATHER ON HAT WHY?) I'd take that over the sequined hot messes that those kids had to wear.
At least I had pants.

And the band jacket is a really nifty idea and pulled off so well.

Nubby does some wonderful things with clothes, and she's adorable. It's nice to read her entries some days. XD
