22 hour awake... GO!
6 am. The lab is silent except for her headphones playing eerie atmospheric techno. The fluorescent lights give everything a strange and almost threatening tinge. She shivers as the coldness of the room gets in even with the sweater and jacket she is wearing. She knows she is alone, and maybe she's a little afraid to look over her shoulder and see the ghost of some aero past, watching. Outside, it is dark.
She hits F5.
It runs as it should for the first couple plots, and the long night and the talk with the slightly arrogant young man about integrals seems to be paying off. Her stomach growls, her heart pounds. The fourth graph will tell, the fourth graph holds the key to it all.
She recoils in horror as the window pops onto the screen.
"No, it couldn't be!" But no one is there to comfort her or even delight in her terror. It is just her. Her and the Matlab plot. The plot of incorrect assumptions.
She'll go eat breakfast in an hour.
