The text for the Rosa one made me giggle and the Cecil/Rosa made me go aww. I like the text you used for the Rydia one and the coloring. I liked both of the Cecil with Cecil ones. The rest were all good as well, those were my favorites. I did like the coloring you chose for all of them.
The blue one (#5) is actually Cecil and Kain. Vaguely inspired by a story I offered to review when I did that meme-thing a while ago for stories that never get read. XD
And really, I just loved that image with the castle and the two moons and wee little tiny Cecil and Rosa for me to NOT make an icon out of it, because it was pretty and adorable. I'm not entirely cynical. XD
XD Well, I'm an anti-romantic, which can sometimes be confused for cynicism.
Really, the only reason I dislike the traditional ideals of romance is it... takes away a lot of the reality of a situation. If you spend all your time mooning about your "one and only" then you miss the flaws.
I mean, half the fun of Veld/Iffy is Veld realizing that Ifalna is not above most fallacies. Takes him a while. XD
Though, if you want to get really technical I'm probably a HUGE supporter of old school traditional romantic ideals. It had nothing to do with sex, or even love, but honor. I mean, stories about knights and the like were about them going to fight for a lady's honor and good name.
I've a weakness for old nobility and twisting it in the modern setting, because we're in a very relativist world.
I suppose I enjoy most forms of romance as long as it’s in moderate doses mixed in with about anything else. Before I got into fanfiction I would never imagine I’d actually write romantic things at all, even though it did all start with a romance.
Old school honor is awesome (I was raised on those types of stories) in any setting really so I’m a fan of it even though I may not tend towards it myself or I don't think I am.
I wouldn't have thought you anti-romantic at least in story telling at all. I would say the opposed but I'm not sure of the proper terminology.
Well, the interactions that can lead to people getting into relationships let me play with issues that I like. It's really just a catalyst. XD
The object is not porn which is the modern romantic ideal, it seems.
I'm anti MODERN ROMANCE, which is well, porn. Even the very few attempts I've tried it (because hey, I'm an adult and it's a writing exercise) ended up with some kind of weird message behind it.
Oh god, I've become a walking after school special.
