This is actually a surprisingly good cross-section of music I like.

You can learn a lot about someone by the music they listen to. So here is the game! Hit shuffle on your iPod/iTunes or mp3 player and write down the first 25 songs. No cheating or skipping songs that are shameful. That is the fun! Then tag your friends.

VAST - Blue
The Clash - Police & Thieves
David Bowie - Be My Wife
Styx - High Time
No Doubt - Excuse Me Mr.
Philip Glass - Renfield (from Dracula Solo Piano)

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - Supernaturally

I only recognize a few of these, honestly. David Bowie, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Moby and Blues Traveller are always cool, though.

I'm rebuilding my music collection too, although it's for different reasons... I retained most of my CDs and such from my move. I just need to get them back onto the computer. When my last computer died, I lost a lot of it, in addition to a lot of story files. And I lost even more when the computer before that died. *sadface*
