Pet Peeve: People that tell me to continue a clearly marked one-shot. If I were going to continue it, I would have marked it as unfinished or said a "part" or something or added a number clearly indicating it was something chaptered. For god's sake, get some reading comprehension. Just because it ends before you want it to doesn't mean it's unfinished.

Some days I wonder how we ever discovered fire or invented the wheel.

P.S. Behold the power of peer pressure.

P.P.S. Today ended quite well, I am less cranky now.

I choose to just look at it as a compliment. A silly one, but a compliment nonetheless.

It seems there are those who want a sequel to everything and those who like to see something ended well, who are happier for the story to continue only in their imaginations. I'd much rather read a good one-shot than a bad series that continues on and on and might satisfy one's curiosity about every little detail of the characters' lives, but not everyone is that way, right?

I do understand your annoyance though. It seems like many of my reviews are like that too. If they annoy me I also enjoy the small satisfcation of saying to myself, "well you'll NEVER get another part, muahahaha."

I was just pissy about something earlier, and it only exacerbated it. I just typically write a one-shot and if I feel like continuing in that line of thought I will, but usually from a different perspective. Maybe. It's just, there is a reason it's marked as done and why I didn't write five billion chapters on it. If people say, "hey, a sequel would be awesome" or "what about so-and-so's perspective?" I'm usually not annoyed. But simply "write more"? Is just vague and annoying. I don't even mind "nice story!" because it says exactly what it says. Or "you suck".

Particularly this story; there really was nowhere else to go! It was like key moments from a person's life and it ended with the end of their life basically. It seems like such a canned response. "I'd like to see more of this." More of what? Their adventures in the afterlife? Some of my one-shots I could understand, the ones that end rather ambiguously, but this one?

I dunno, I get twerked by the weirdest things. I'd rather someone eviscerate what I write than lazy sort of "write moar!" stuff. Because it makes me wonder "did you actually read it?"

In that particular case it does seem really weird. I don't know. I still feel like a canned response is better than no response. If that's all you get from anyone though, then it does grow tiresome.

Hee, canned response and a cat with a can! That just made me laugh.

And it's really the only canned response that bothers me. Mayhap I'm just really a cranky old man deep down.

Your tag is amusing.

I'm probably guilty of that in a round about way. Anyway, I hope your day gets better.

That tag is my new "people suck" tag, considering that awesome t-shirt you showed me.

And you're not bad about that--you at least are like, "I wish there was more from this perspective" or "what about this?" and that spawns more stories. You don't just say, "write more". THAT is what twerks me, as I find it kind of lazy? I guess if you're going to go to the trouble to say something like that, might as well add SOMETHING specific.

For me that's the whole fun of online writing. Getting to brainstorm with other people who aren't related to me. Though on the other hand I'm a bit shy so I can understand one word answers. Write more is a little tasteless if your aren't paying the writer.

I suppose I have weird manners. XD And I like going back and forth too, and I always like how my friends will give me ideas in reviews. But you at least go to the trouble to put together an idea. ~_^
