Writing and fandom babble below, cut for those that aren't playing along and don't care!



Yeah, haven't done one of these yet, because I haven't written much. Goal is 10,000 words, and I've got about 3000. Not too shabby, but I could do better. This whole "no writing new shit" thing has done wonders for my WIP folder, as I've thrown out a few things I know I won't finish, and I don't feel guilty about it. I am a magpie, I hoard shinies. Since I can purge in other areas of my life, it's about time I purge in ficcage too.

Anyway, since I've got more than one fic finished this January, I figured it was time to do an update. I don't have a nice graphic like first_seventhe since I'm not really keeping metrics on what I write each day, just what I've finished, so I just have a wee spreadsheet.

But yay, more stuff crossed off on the Huge Damn List of Fail. I was so much better at finishing things when I first entered fandom, then again, I was more focused on one thing at a time and somehow had more free time. But since I finished my homework for Friday, I figured what the hell. And here's links to the finished shit, if anyone was curious:

Yeah, that's basically it. I'm kind of wired now, so WHO KNOWS what other kinds of things I'll do tonight that I've meant to get to? MAYBE I WILL EVEN ORGANIZE MY CLASS FOLDERS ON MY COMPUTER. DREAM BIG!

Yes for me having light homework this week, a fact I am taking much advantage of. I even got ANOTHER WIP done today and now I'm working on that Jecht/Auron/Braska ACTIONFIC that you requested like... a billion years ago.

It's finding the time/focus combination that creates these spurts. I tend to have the inspiration when I don't have the time and vice versa these days. But since I'm not having to use creative energies at work right now and I have a light homework week THIS MEANS MUCH DOOM.
