Rode around on the bus longer than I should have, because I usually walk. But it is COLDNESS MAXIMUS DOOM and I thought it would be fun to ride the bus that goes in town but doesn't stop at the hub because it's a campus loop. I still think this town/city has a certain ugly/pretty, and when I'm done with class I'm likely going to use that to finally do my next
spoony_bards story.
Also, my professor in dynamics threw nerf planes and "missiles" at us to explain why your center of gravity needs to be in front of your aerodynamic center. COOL STUFF.
Quick links!
- Next chapter of Carbon Made! (also actually remembered to link it on
viniel this time.
- Fandom essay I wrote this weekend that makes me sound like an old professor!
- THE KISSING MEME IS BACK
- New! Dames Are Trouble (aka, that one Veld/Lucrecia I got dared to write)
And that's all I got. XD I HAVE TO REMEMBER TO DO MY
ff_fanlisting duties when I get back from class!
Edit:
EXTRA THINGS OF NOTE:
So there was a Facult Fellow dinner tonight (our dorms have it set up so that each floor can have dinner with a member of the faculty once a week at the same time, faculty picked out by the RA of course) and since I got down there later than intended, there was no where else to sit but with them. I figured, what the hell, I missed the awkward beginning of the meal, awesome. So I've learned a few things.
- Our Fac Fellow is British
- He knows crazy random shit
- Walking into a Fac Fellow Dinner wearing a hat that resembles a black cat is going to make the British dude talk to you
- Answering "why weren't you in school last semester" with "I'm kind of a game designer" makes awesome British dude discussion games-based learning, which is cool except I'm at a table with a bunch of undergrads and an RA that just figured out an engineer ended up on her floor
- I still talk better with adults, especially cool British ones
- I'm half tempted to go to another dinner, if only to see how many "..." looks I can get when I get to topics that aren't sports, hair, or 'do you like living here?'
God, I feel so old sometimes.

Date: 2008-02-12 12:28 am (UTC)I totally love the idea of Veld collecting degrees.
And just crotchety-old-man!Veld in general.
And yeah. I liked it. The world needs more Veld and Lucrecia interaction.
I'd write up some more, but I really do need to get some homework done tonight.
