Reverb10 Prompts 5 and 6

December 5 – Let Go. What (or whom) did you let go of this year? Why?

I let go of a lot of my pride.

I don't necessarily think pride is a bad thing, so more specifically I let go of my destructive, divisive type of pride. I just graduated college, it's not like I cured cancer. Had to dial back my pride related to that in particular before I started hurting people (and I still managed to on a couple of occasions).

It was a good thing to let go of.

December 6 – Make. What was the last thing you made? What materials did you use? Is there something you want to make, but you need to clear some time for it?

Well the most recent thing I made was another apron (for a coworker). I'll take pictures after I do some final touches. Before that was an uncommon angel ornament.

There are several things I want to make that I need to clear time for/keep working on throughout the next couple weeks:

- Presents. ^^ This includes a polka dot dress for my sister, hats for a couple people (reminds me I need to go get some fleece), a bug box, and a couple more aprons. Thankfully all those projects are forgiving if I'm slightly imperfect.

- My SEKRIT COSPLAY FOR OHAYOCON.

- Probably another scarf for myself. I've got some lovely colorful sari-like fabric that I need to cut in half and re-sew together for a scarf. Colorful things like that help me not get bummed out by winter.

- Cards? I need to make a post about this holiday stuff.

- My Yuletide story (WHICH I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW EXCITED I AM TO WRITE FOR THIS FANDOM).

Costumes and And Sewery

Since I'm going through lists of things to make.

Got two more aprons to make in the immediate future, one for someone who asked, and one for a SURPRISE RECIPIENT.

And here's my costume lineup as of an AWESOME EMAIL yesterday:

2011

Ohayocon (January)

- Surprise Sparkle Costume

- Daryl (FFVI), re-wearing it for a photoshoot so there is awesomeness.

- Ward (FFVIII), if I feel like it. Dependent on if I find cheap overalls or not.

Acen (May)

- Elizabeth (Persona 3). I love her outfit, and it will be fun to sew.

- Juliet (RomeoxJuliet)... maybe. This look in particular, I like.

- Probably going to re-wear Daryl again, because I LOVE THAT COSTUME.

Otakon (July/August)

- Moon!Yue (Avatar: The Last Airbender). We're getting together a whole A:TLA group, and I was originally going to do Azula, but Sev is more appropriate for this group. Plus this look is airy enough for a summer con.

- Toph (Avatar: The Last Airbender) for drakonlily. Aged up version of her, first FULL costume I'm sewing for someone else. Very excited.

- Iroh (Avatar: The Last Airbender) for yi_sen. Um YES. TEAHOUSE VERSION TOO. With help from Sev.

- Ahriman, or THE FLYING EYEBALL (Final Fantasy Series). For the epic MONSTER GROUP.

2012

Ohayocon (January)

- Azula (Avatar: The Last Airbender)

Otakon (July/August)

- The epic Cecil Dark-Knight-Fading-Into-Paladin costume.
