Well, BSG is intense. And I like intense if it's done well (like I think BSG does). Dr. Who, though, is in this weird place between fun adventure and serious drama, so I'm not fond of it so much.

But Sarah Jane Adventures doesn't try too hard to be Serious, so it's right where it should be in my brain.

Doesn't say anything bad about you, just that I'm a little on the pessimistic side and really like my emotions being toyed with. XD

Also, re: Your Post:

Well, I watched BSG from the start, and Adama pretty much had to be entirely aweseome from the beginning for me (as was Roslin, in a different way). I especially liked that he purposefully tried to be a little more distant from his kid not to show favoritism, but there were awesome bonding moments (and times they butted heads) between him and Lee.

But you're right about Starbuck and Lee sending him off... I love the inter-generational aspects of the show and how in normal circumstances the old guard would be largely forgotten, but since it's OMG INSANE they get featured. WHICH IS EXACTLY WHAT I LIKE.

When you get the chance, look up Season 2 (or the boxing episode from Season 3, which has cute flashbacks), as that season was pretty much made of awesome. And has my favorite antagonist (ADMIRAL HELENA CAIN! omg she was awesomely bad). Or wait around for a marathon, as they're likely to do one once this season is finished.
