an emissary from the homeworld

+ Saw NanoMatt, who is called this because we met through a NaNoWriMo group at my Real College (as opposed to this one, which has hippies) for Engineers Who Write (we exist, I swear).
+ There are new levels of nerdy when you discuss, in public, your RSS feeds.
+ I like NanoMatt's girlfriend, she's cute! And we can talk about the more artsy side of nerdness. Ok, well, we talked about Tim Gunn really. That man is so cool.
+ About halfway through making the cushiony insides of the lid of my sewing basket (yes, I have a sewing basket, it's another restoration) I realized that it was too big. Have to trim now. Lucky I made it in such a way that trimming won't case problems. And I like recycling old shirts. ^^
+ Cleaned up most of the toys I wanted to clean for now. With bleach (low concentration) in order to kill possible germies. Have a few that I think Lily will like,
misunderstands, I'll try and take pictures tonight for you.
+ I GOT A B ON MY MATH EXAM!!!!!!!
To Do:
+ Make sure I rope Boss #2 over in order to figure out precisely what he needs for our grant request Phase Ib which I found out about on Friday.
+ Take pictures of toys.
+ Package up bookmooch request, it's another one from Canada, so BONUS POINTS. Finally have The Hunger off my hands. Not a bad book, just not my style.
+ Print off homework/bonus problems. Work on those tonight first and then play around in studio.
+ Crossover fic? I have a claim. XD Top priority on my writing projects at the moment.
+ Consider what I'm doing for NaNoWriMo. Probably Imperaxyl. Only, instead of trying the novel length doom, I am going to write short things that add up to 50,000 words. Cheating, I know, but really, plotlines don't stay in my head for long.

First, write down 6 LIKES:
----------------------------------------
1. Brunettes
2. Pwning the Internets
3. Making things (anything, really)
4. Fedoras
5. Tea
6. People that could fold me in half
Second, write down 6 DISLIKES:
------------------------------------------------
1. Naive sexual writing (really kids, it's not some magical healing thing)
2. Math
3. Being out of tea
4. Internet being down
5. Annoying prettyboys
6. Melodrama
Last, write down 6 STRANGE FACTS about yourself:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
1. The combination of my real first and middle name is a Saint's name and her story. My family was so very Catholic when I first came into the world.
2. I look up to my little sister.
3. The first story I ever wrote was "Earth Ladybugs Visit Planet Ladybug" in first grade. It got put into an elementary school anthology. The followup in second grade was "The Undersea Adventure" because I had started reading Jules Verne and saw the movie The Explorers. I only wrote science fiction until I reached junior high and then I only wrote poetry after that.
4. I am a ridiculously huge ballet fan. My first foray into costume design and (almost) fanfiction was adapting the story of Narcissus into a ballet (really). My next idea was to adapt The Murder of Osiris, but that never panned out.
5. I always have a notebook. Typically two. Other than my tiny listy notebook, I cannot mix genres with them. I have seven regular notebooks I keep going at random intervals at any given time. My oldest type is my Observations notebook, which is like a diary but not. My newest one is my Craft notebook which I use to make sure I know where to pick up on with a craft project.
6. Picard will always remain my favorite spaceship captain of all time. Really. I still want to be like that when I grow up. I don't typically like roguish captain (Mal Reynolds won me over on the basis that he's not just a rogue, he's got a complexity a lot of rogues lack) types, so Picard should make sense.
