Nov. 24th, 2008 01:20 pmAll my morning classes were canceled (though I have no idea if my math class was or not, since I missed it on Friday on account of another class's assignment, but that's not until 12:30 anyway) so I just woke up an hour or two ago. Ah, thank you people that try to leave for break as early as possible. I won't be leaving until tomorrow, since I don't have classes on Tuesdays (other than lab, but that's only every other week). Then it's home for a night and then off to Ohio for family shenanigans!
So, things to brighten your Monday!
- The entire opera Tosca, copyright free! Nothing says happiness like Italian operas with death, almost rape, and people flinging themselves off towers! BONUS CHANTING. Shut up I LIKE opera, ok?
- Kuroshitsuji, one of two anime (well, I want the manga too) obsessions currently! Demonic butlers! Crazy Jack the Ripper theories! Extremely young heads of households! Victorians with Zen Gardens! EYEPATCHES! First six episodes subbed are here. It's like Hellsing, but with more domestic hijinks and no vampires (and no crazy Catholics :<). Oh and I found scanlations.
- Kiddy Grade! The other anime! The exploits of Inappropriately Dressed Hot Chick With Superpowers and her loligirlfriend partner with Other Superpowers! Completely goofy in the beginning and suddenly takes a turn for the dramatic! Chock full of tropes, and lipstick whips (I'm not making this up!) but I'm strangely entranced by it anyway. Oh Japan. First half of the show, dubbed, on Hulu.
- I HAVE ARTWORK! Yes, that's the artwork for my serial Oh my god, I wish that were a better story, because I almost feel like I don't DESERVE that artwork. But it's been something stuck in my head forever, and I should finish it, if only to purge it. Submitting it will just get it OUT. Maybe not happy for you, but happy for me! Mine's Caricature, if you were wondering.
- Yay to friends finishing Nano!
- I finished Spindle's End, review to follow (because it was a condition of Sev buying me books that I ramble about them).
- DIMLIGHT. No, really. <3
- Ninjas as a work ethic.

P.P.S. Speaking of ninjas, I just realized my new gmail theme has a tiny little adorable geisha too. SO CUTE.
