Holy crap guys

- Last night I finished up the basics of my contribution for![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
tijuana_pirate's Gogo costume. The headdress will need to be fitted to her, but I have the basics of it done. I was especially concerned with THE HORN OF AWESOME, because Amano is crazy and only put one on, and ON THE SIDE at that, the tendency is for it to want to slip to one side. I attached it to a baseball cap with the brim taken off and use a tie and a counterweight Beaded Bling Thing to keep it balanced. There's still a little side-heaviness, but I have plenty of ideas for when I fit it to her. It looks like this with the cloth on. Since everything's cotton, it should be breathable. Thanks to my local white mage for coming to see and only laughing a little bit when I answered the door with a horn on the side of my head. The cape currently doesn't have the opposite side with the red stripes on it, and if I don't get my other sewing project to do before Otakon done, then at least I did the black triangles and the yellow bits, and that came out really well. Especially considering the black was stash fabric and the smaller yellow trim is actually a ribbon.
- Going to be sewing the asspurses tonight, since the pattern is pretty straight forward and I'm making it up as I go along. Debating whether I need interfacing or not for it, since it's kind of a floppy style anyway. May need to buy some fabric for the lining, as a lot of my stash scraps are smaller than I need for a lining. Or I could patchwork it. Depends on how I feel after work (which is... soon).
- Had to go to the dentist this morning, so that kind of killed my morning productivity at work (aka, I didn't get in until 1 pm). Thankfully I finished a major task yesterday and am awaiting feedback on it before I can go forward, so I'm spending the half day I'm here today doing all sorts of speculative research.
- My reading pattern today was CRAZY. Just crazy.
