Wow, my brain, she is all over the place

yi_sen who is a FAAAAABULOUS photographer. You make shitty lighting and costuming thrown on while drunk look AWESOME.
Sorry to Otakon spam people, especially those that didn't go, but I'm just proud of the work done and how it all came out. I seriously want to epic costume like, my entire life. Hell, if I can't fit into stuff I'd start making things for other people. I just love subcultures where you MAKE stuff. This is why I was fascinated by goths when I was younger (less now, as a lot of that stuff can be bought, but the more industrial type goths are still cool), and adore steampunk these days.
If I could somehow combine my love of making and wearing strange stuff with science? I'd be awesome.

Also on making things, I'd like to start an etsy, because I keep having people ask if I'd make stuff for them, or have friends of people I've made stuff for wonder if I sell any. Generally, I just like giving gifts, but a little pocket change doesn't hurt. And I won't offer commissions, cause that sounds crazy. Unless you're like friends of mine that suddenly go, "SHIT I'M IN A COSPLAY GROUP NOW PLEASE MAKE ME STUFF" which is fun. And I have lots of stuff to recycle into pretties, so yeah. And I intend of things being cheap cause really my materials cost is near zero on a lot of stuff I make, since my mom has a lot of supplies she's had on hand that she hasn't used in a while and I tend to recycle junk I find. I was sustainable before it was trendy, bitches. So we'll see what I can make this summer, as I won't have time during the fall to make anything.
And I am so hitting my "to refashion" clothes pile soon. Oddly enough, the rush of sewing before Otakon has only made me want to sew more. Vicious cycle? Hell, I'm already thinking of stuff I want to do for next year. That and if I'm going to do AUSA's Big Turk Group, I'm going to do the suit right and hack a black blazer into a zippered black blazer. Plus I need better black pants. If on the off chance they find someone's dad to be Veld (which would be awesome, con dads ROCK), I will totally try and put together an Elfe costume (...or possibly borrow parts oft3h_w0lfy's ^^; if she'd loan it to me). But I'd rather be Veld, I have the hair for it. During Christmas season I'm going to look for the beginnings of one of my dream costumes, Pearl from Legend of Mana, which will probably take me a couple years to put together as it's so complicated.
But yeah. End of the workday! Time to head out and go home and maybe start on that top-to-skirt conversion that I've been thinking about for weeks.
