So visiting with the kids was kind of hilarious, as it's the end of the school year and all they want to do is go off and play. I met a kid that is like male me at about ten, so that was kind of strange. He spent more time talking to the adults and pointed out to me that "rocket science has nothing to do with game design" in a very somber tone. Actual Game Developer Guy (aka Minion) had them design a level's layout and had a nifty activity with puzzle pieced floorplan thing. High schooler kid that is semi-helper soon to be everyone's minion was also cool. It's hard to answer questions about game design when it's an intuitive process. For me at least. I tend to find answering "how did you solve this" involves more gesturing than talking.

The camp we're doing with the kids will be a different group. Should be interesting.

Am still homeless, but Andrew has seen to it to acquisition me some desk space. So that I can has Mac mini and do some storyboarding, as they liked all the stuff I came up with yesterday. Today's been much less productive, but part of that is because of waiting to go to this class with Boss #1 and part of it is waiting on people for things. Also, I nearly forgot to eat until about an hour ago. Whoops. The adrenaline of moving in and getting back to work excitement is making me crash pretty hardkore at the moment. Since I still haven't adjusted to Working World Time, I didn't get in until about 10:30 (god, can I mention again how much I love flexible hours?). Thought about leaving early, but since I started this entry and got distracted by other things it's just about time to go home anyway.

School to work transition is weird. It's like going from being a minion to a warlord in under thirty seconds. XD

:) I love hearing you talk about work. It's so nice to see someone be so damn happy about working!

School to work (to school, to work) transition was/is really hard for me! You've pretty much pinned it down. And I don't have much patience for feeling like a minion when I've earned my warlord status.

Children are usual fun to be around for short periods of time at least. Ten year olds doing game designing their getting younger every year. ;p

Your job sounds awesome! and your flexible hours sound like grad student work hours. So long as you produce, everything's fine. (That's how the real world should work, in my mind).

I know I've said this before but I will say it again: when your game comes out, I definitely want to buy it and play it! XD
