Swiped a desk for today!

Sitting at my old desk, which I have reclaimed for the day. I also have a shelf now (yay shelf!) for stuff so I don't always have to carry it home with me at the end of the day. They put in an extra bookcase nearby "my" desk, so. Have been herding people, so to speak, in regards to collaborating on specific tasks that need to be done. Certain people are for graphics, others are for content. I am like the person with a hand in each, so coordination is sometimes CRAZY. Especially considering this seems to be Travel and Sick Week. Basically everyone on my direct team is gone and haven't found anything the minions can help with (besides, they're shared minions).

When I'm not writing up Text Files of Doom I've been adjusting my computer for work times. Have also discovered some nifty Foobar2000 plugins that let me set playlists and volumes for certain times; now I have quiet piano music that'll come on for sleepytimes and loud dance music for wakeup. Which is kind of awesome.

I have so much I need/want to do this summer, since I'm not in school (and really don't want to take any classes, I need a break). Current project is clearing out the room I'm living in. Due to renovations my parentals have moved all the stuff that was stowed in my old closet (which was large) into my little basement temp room. So far I've realized that my pre-college self was QUITE the packratty thing. I don't even know why I boxed half the stuff I did. Much junk is being purged. It's good. There have been fun times looking at old drawings/writings/awards and the like. I was such a weird kid. XD I've so far gone through five of those paper boxes (you know, the cardboard boxes that bulk paper comes in) and condensed them to one.

And mom has her studio space set up now upstairs. It'll be a good place to get my sewing/costuming done. I have missed the free time to do crafty things. But hey, being all focused and crap this semester obviously paid off. Just gotta keep that up and hopefully I will be done with school in a year.

Mostly just mind-dumping. Egads, I have so much I need to do OUTSIDE of work, and I'd take some time off if it weren't for the fact work's project can't be stalled anymore... scheduling is crazy. I almost feel like going for a short walk, to clear my head. I might do that, downtown is pretty this time of year (even if it's been rainy).

Can I ask for an extension on the 24-hour day? I'm afraid it's not enough. XD

Yeah, it would RULE if there were like...30 hours in a day. I'm not feeling as bad as I was last semester though. With the classes being humanities and all. I was clever to create this break myself.

Glad to hear you're settling in. Try not to take on too many projects, of course. Don't want to lose yourself in them.
