crankyoldman: "Hermann, you don't have to salute, man." [Pacific Rim] (edea extreme)

Because Edea could use a soundtrack. It's a fair bit melancholy with bits of crazy. Because that's just how Edea is. XD

1. Over The Rhine - Born (6:13)
In the beginning, she just wanted to be a normal woman.
Over The Rhine is just one of those bands that works with a lot of my favorite female characters.

2. Kate Bush - Waking The Witch (4:17)
But powers both strange and terrifying had been within her since childhood.
I wanted to use this for the Rinoa FST originally, but it sounds more Edea-like.

3. Norah Jones - Shoot the Moon (3:56)
Other girls had plenty of suitors, she usually was left alone in the end.
I like having a slight twang in her type of songs, considering that she seems to like rural-ish living.

4. Feist - The Water (4:46)
What started out and flowed like water became brittle like ice.
I am so glad someone put this album up for me, it's quite lovely.

5. Fiona Apple - The Child Is Gone (4:15)
She had found him, but there was always something missing, even if she took them in her home.
This was actually the first song. It goes with Ellone disappearing and then the rest of the kids, which had to have been upsetting.

6. Club 8 - Spring Came, Rain Fell (2:36)
She grew used to the ache, eventually. And he understood. He understood.
I love this little Swedish group so much.

7. Lunascape - Mindstalking (3:56)
Maybe part of her accepted the intruder in her mind.
Techno version is a JENOVA song, I figured the non-techno made a good Ultimecia one.

8. Massive Attack - What Your Soul Sings (6:38)
Without a voice she had to wonder if their idea had been a terrible one.
I have to wonder what it would have been like for Edea to not have control over her own body. Or if she did.

9. Within Temptation - Pale (4:30)
Had it been wrong to stand by, to plan for the future instead of the present?
Irish-like music always sounds folkloric to me. This is a more appropriate strength song than most for her.

10. Peter Gabriel - Blood of Eden (6:37)
They would never be the same, but it was of some comfort to know he had been affected too.
So this is a very Cid/Edea song to me. I love them to pieces but god it had to have been hard for them.

11. Over the Rhine - Goodbye (This Is Not Goodbye) (5:29)
Maybe if she told the next one the truth, things would not come to this.
I figured I'd close with Over The Rhine, for some uniformity. I don't like to repeat artists, so.
