Positive thinking, dammit

crankyoldmanI have survived 2/3 finals, actually feel like I was decently prepared for the Propulsion one (though, for the life of me I always fuck SOMETHING up). Am trying not to be antsy, as I still have the last final. It’s for Fatigue Structures, though, so I’m not as worried. That class lets you use three equation sheets to fill with whatever you desire, and I very much like this, as I really have a hard time with memorization (and fucking hate being tested on that basis). Like, they actually test on your ability to WORK the problems, not just to randomly memorize shit that you forget right after.
Yeah, I’m a little bitter about memorization based tests in engineering classes. Cause they make no damn sense.
Anyway, back to some positive thinking. Have decided to go to the graduation ceremony even if it turns out that I’m a class shy (I hope I’m not, I really want to start work in January and help them out with the engineering modules and stuff) because what the hell. I’ll basically be done no matter what happens. Still seeing Super Advisor about stuff to make sure I know what the deal is, though. RIGHT. Positive thinking. Shouldn’t work myself up.

December 14 Rush. When did you get your best rush of the year?
When our plane flew. I know, I talk about that a lot, but geez, there really isn’t a feeling as awesome as seeing something you’ve spent a semester working on ACTUALLY WORK. Like all the things you’ve spent years learning and bitching about actually culminate in something. I almost wish the semester ended there, because it wasn’t going to get any better than that. Basically solidified my desire to make something with life. I couldn’t be a stock broker. I have to be working on something to make and contribute to the world, no matter how silly.
December 15 Best packaging. Did your headphones come in a sweet case? See a bottle of tea in another country that stood off the shelves?
I am immensely fond of this vodka bottle. And the simplicity of the Snow Beauty sake that I got as a present earlier in the year. I kept that bottle and put fake flowers in it. XD Booze has the best packaging.
December 16 Tea of the year. I can taste my favorite tea right now. What's yours?
It’s a tossup between Zhena Gypsy Tea’s Pumpkin Spice and Tradional Medicinals’ Chamomile with Lavendar. The former because it is very tasty and the latter because it is tasy, calming, and won’t upset my acid reflux (and actually is good to drink if I’m having an episode). I had to adjust my tea drinking habits a lot this year, and I’m happy to be able to drink even simple green tea. I miss Earl Grey a lot, and sometimes have it as a treat, but I think the teas I’ve substituted for my favorite black teas have been good. XD
