crankyoldman+ Did not wake up so easily this morning and will have to move my car soon HA I FOUND PARKING FOR REALZ because apparently parking ALWAYS sucks when you're running later than you'd like to.
+ I am a little panicked about this final, because after the session last night, it's pretty heavy power series based. Now, I hate that crap. Not only that, the last time I took Diff Eq WE SKIPPED THAT CHAPTER to get to, I don't know, useful stuff like LaPlace? Equivalent course my ass.
+ I took pictures of my desk at work because I realize I'm going to miss it. :< That, and I sort of want to join the Unclutterer flickr pool. Because I'm a dork.
+ Also, in order to facilitate me actually studying, I'm going to start using my "school" XP account in the evenings. Which doesn't let me get on the web or on IM. Pretty drastic, but I did make it for a reason. XD Sorry for being scarce! I'll be done by Thursday!
It's not that I don't like being young and all that, I just dislike this position where I'm not quite able to support myself (well, I could, but I couldn't pay for school then) and not quite young enough to just enjoy handouts. Work ethic and making your own way is before godliness in my family, so I feel doubly... stuck.
Not failing, because, ha ha, thinking like that is pointless.
The problem with this job (and the other job I had back in the summer of my freshman year) is that is gets me all ready to just work. But I need a degree. It's frustrating, because it feels like I'm taking a step back when I'm in school. Does that sound weird? I mean, no matter how much I complain/rant/whatever, it doesn't change the fact I have a mostly finished degree that needs to become finished. Else it would have been a waste. That and when it's not related to memorization or stupid university politics, I really do love the things I get to learn. I mean, rocket science is really freaking awesome.
Being twentysomething sucks some days. XD Well, I just need to remember that learning is fun, and to ignore the bullshit. I mean, I get to take a History of Technology class the coming semester. How cool is that? And Private Pilot Lectures (in case I ever get around to flying, also, TECH ELECTIVE).
Plus I miss home. This town isn't really home anymoretoo many hippies, it just doesn't feel familiar. I miss having a room with a window bigger than a shoebox (aaaah, basement living).
So it'll be ok. Eventually I'll be out of this halfway crap. XD
