Not unlike a manic squirrel

Good god. I must be going through a manic episode or the weather really does fuck with my head, because I have been starving all day and alternating between ridiculously energetic to falling asleep while sitting up. Will go to bed at like TEN tonight if need be, geez.
In a stroke of irony I seem to have made a shortlist for something. I'm kind of glad it's that story (Aviator: A Historical Context, aka, why Cid Highwind is my long lost brother), because I'm ridiculously fond of it, of the format, of how easily it came out. It is surprising, though. I'm also giggling because Corrosive made it, and they still link to the old website. XD I sent them a message, because it's probably my favorite "what if" variety of AU that I've read from someone. Oh, and Lariat, but that story reads like noir and I'm horribly fond of that.
Funny how it was a year ago I got a random email concerning that. XD Is it wrong of me to be glad to see a lot of popular fandom FF7 stories didn't make it? Does this make me smug and maybe a little catty?
There were very tiny children on the bus (and I don't remember why I was on the bus, I just got on and realized I had planned on staying on campus and got off a few stops later when I realized this). Like what happens to me a lot, one of them decided that they would attempt to use me as a way to escape their seat, as I apparently look like climbing equipment to very short people.
I still haven't clean my room. I may be doing this on Friday at this rate. Gar. At least Jersey Highwind and I have a meeting set up so that I might create an educational module for great justice. And then go giggle with History Gast about it, as he poked me in class today as I haven't been in his office in a while, considering my schedule as of late. Haven't been able to track down my advisor or any other of the random professors that suddenly remember me and want to talk to me. It weirds me out. Am I actually doing things right for a change? Egads.
I think I'm going to say the hell with any of my to dos until dinner and work on something entirely silly. Yes.

P.S. OH, I love you, The Sartorialist, only you would put up a picture of what looks like the the hippest old Yakuza reject ever.
P.P.S. OH, and I love you Gunnerkrigg Court, for finally getting to the storyline about what the hell being a medium meant and why Annie's mother is so speshul. Actually, I would have loved you anyway, as you are my current favorite webcomic.
P.P.P.S. Nevermind, this is the coolest thing I've seen in a while. Considering I have friends that go out and do Scientology protests, I laughed a lot.

Date: 2008-03-05 10:07 pm (UTC)Congratulations on the story. It’s okay to be smug occasionally. I know it’s wrong if I’m remembering the right story (were Hojo gets lock up the coffin) but Corrosive had one of my favorite Veld/Vincent interpretations ever.
Good luck with the school and having fun.
Children are also awesome, even though I’m too stern looking for things like that to happen to me.
