crankyoldman: "Hermann, you don't have to salute, man." [Pacific Rim] (nathan)
As I take a break from some beta testing and thinky stuff.

- Facebook's Eroding Privacy Policy: A Timeline When I get the chance, I think I'm stripping down my profile on there. Guideline on how to protect yourself here.

- Art/Games coming to the DS! Which I will be getting as I am now out of the dating boys for their game systems stage and have a DS of my own. XD

- How to get ready in half an hour. If you're female and a bit more "girly". When I'm in a rush I just put on a hat, forget makeup, and focus on my clothes being awesome.

- Mira Grant talks about the book Feed, which I've been told by a couple people is awesome. I may look into getting it soon (see if my local bookstore has it). Naturally, xkcd provides the simplest answer to stopping a zombie apocalypse.

- [personal profile] seventhe talks about health, the damaging practice of slimming down, and how BMI is bullshit And as if to taunt her, an article about weight loss without good context pops up in my feed to give stupid advice.

- Pete Campbell from Mad Men's actor is a tad wacky. And scruffy.

Caught in a lab romance.

As expected, I get into a lot of bar conversations with dudes about games. Some are awesome, some make me want to throttle them. It's like any sort of conversation you have with semi-drunk or drunk people over any semi-serious topic. Full of bullshit, but with a kernel of truth deep down. It's more pertinent to me than a discussion about communism or philosophy, because it relates back to my job.

Of course, then I have to deal with the flip side; educators that have a very narrow idea on what a game is.
