I concur. RARELY will I tell you that a movie is better than the book. Well, so far the "Narnia" movies are surpassing the books by far.
"Prince Caspian" in particular felt like Lewis was really struggling and the book suffers from pacing issues like WHOA. Caspian got a bit more development on print, but I think it's forgiveable. I mean, we're all more interested in the Pevensies anyway. ;}
Also: YAY SUSAN CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT!!!!! I concur with the older sister/fav character thing. I like how they're actually giving her a personality. I swear in the books Lewis couldn't tell Susan from Lucy half the time. :P I also appreciated the depth given to Peter. The older kids felt like NPCs a lot of time in the books; they're just kinda...there.
And yes, <3 Edmund saving the day. He r0x0rs muchly.
And may I just say that making the Telmarines Spanish was not lost on me. ::snerk:: It was also excellently done. Loved the nearly-Elizabethanness of it all. I even rather liked the little Susan/Caspian puppylove thing there.
So yeah, in complete agreement with you. I found it highly satisfactory. ^^
