Ha, so, there is no power at my house. We have no electricity. None, nada. Been that way since Friday night (after BSG, THANK GOD I WOULD HAVE THROWN THINGS). Seriously, it was like LIGHTNING BOLT OF DOOM. ZAP. NO POWER. CUE SCRAMBLING AROUND LIKE COCKROACHES.

But we're ok, though we're going to have to toss a lot of stuff in the fridge... the freezer should be fine, considering we haven't opened it at all. Still a pain in the ass and the darkness at night is unsettling (yes, I'm afraid of the dark a little). Don't know when we'll have power considering our power station is actually FLOODED.

I did however get some nice sewing and reading time in. XD My dad was pretty much stuck as far as entertainments went, as he doesn't read or do any sort of handicrafts.

Um. Wow. Alright, D'Anna is back! I MISSED HER BITCHINESS AND SCREWING WITH PEOPLE'S HEADS. WAY TO FREAK ROSLIN OUT.

And Roslin seeing what could be her death... was BEAUTIFUL AND HAUNTING AND I LOVED IT. I seriously might have cried a little seeing Adama so shaken up. CAN I HUG THAT MAN? PLEASE?

But really, I'm mostly squeeing about the last five minutes. Thank you writers for keeping them as THEM and making that AWESOME. Seriously, what I love about those two is how understated they are. <3 I quite adore how they keep testing Roslin and how she's not always write and so FLAWED and yet SO AWESOME... really you guys just fulfilled something I always love seeing; a woman over thirty that is certainly not invisible. Well frakkin done.

Review of The Difference Engine to follow.

P.S. This comic making fun of Twilight just about made me cough up a lung.

P.P.S. There are Literati type of people in the library and it is very hard not to laugh at their conversation. First off, you are loud. Second off, if you use that many art/culture buzzwords in a sentence as you just did, YOU FAIL.

Just terrible. The reviews, however, are funny. If you can get away with just seeing reviews and excerpts, it's best.

But really, even your level of liking the terrible... it's just too much.

Do you have any recommendations for reviews? OTHERWISE I MAY HAVE TO ACTUALLY SIT DOWN AND READ A BOOK WITH SPARKLY VAMPIRES IN IT, JUST TO SEE WHAT ALL THE FUSS IS ABOUT.

Argh, I hate hate hate romance!vampires. Vampires should be monsters. Hellsing gets it right.

The only anythingnearromancewithvampires that I can stand is Tanya Huff's Blood Ties/Shadows series, and her vampire is not mopey. Nor are his relationships the focus of the series - in the Shadows books he's more of a badass sidekick. And yes, he is a Hunter first and foremost. Which ♥

Twilight would probably make my undead tenants howl.
