And the moral of the story is

Alright, so Diff Eq II just about made me cry today.
We're on linearization and we just did graphing solutions and I'm so... lost. My prof, while amusing, doesn't seem to translate "hey, dude, we don't fucking remember most of the shit from Diff Eq I, stop skipping steps!" This has always been my problem with math--it's hard for me to recall older things beyond calculus (hell, and considering how many years I've been in school, some calculus things now). Thankfully, in engineering classes you are given equation sheets on the exams, you can put whatever you think you'll forget. I've been known to have such remedial shit as the quadratic formula. They're not tripping you up on memorizing stuff, but using it. And I get that, which is why I have such ridiculously complete equation sheets--most of my study time is spent making them. It's what I did during laundry this weekend for Aeromechanics (and I only have a 1/4 of that sheet done).
But my Diff Eq II prof goes so freaking fast, and I can barely keep up taking NOTES, let alone understanding what the hell he's saying. I try to go to office hours, but it coincides with Thermo office hours... as you can see, this is somewhat frustrating.
I mean, first exam isn't until next week for that class, and I've got three other exams I should be worrying about. My dad always says stay positive, focus on what you can, put the other crap out of your mind. I guess this is why I'm babbling here, it gets it OUT of my head.
God, prerequisites (FOR CLASSES I HAVE ALREADY PASSED) are really frustrating. I just need to suck it up and stop being a girl and get it over with. It's not personal.
And now I need to figure out a topic for my Structural Design course before 4:30 and write an abstract.I think I want to do something about those nifty materials that change shapes when a current goes through them, but hell if I remember what they're called. FUCK SOMEONE DID THAT LAST YEAR. NEW IDEA. HA ELASTIC MEMORY COMPOSITES LOOK FUN. This calls for a crazy google search and some BSing. Thank god this class is so low maintenance. If this were a homework heavy class, I might just lose my mind.
Also, Prof Collicock is REALLY on my shit list. I was up until 4 am on his homework and had to talk someone else into turning it in for me so I could get some sleep. Again, "you should have started it earlier!" but I forgot about it. Plus I was studying for exams. His annoying ass homework can kiss my grits.
tl;dr: Mathematics can suck it, Collicock needs to get laid more.
