"Elections are won by men and women chiefly because most people vote against somebody rather than for somebody."
Franklin P. Adams

That's all you'll hear from me. Everything else is none of your business. Really.

In other news, I need to figure out a project for my Dynamics class. My idea thus far is to see if I can model/explain hoverboard dynamics. But I need to find some papers on that first before I can lock it down as my project. If that fails, I will attempt normal skateboard dynamics, because I want to do something fun. According to my professor, they still haven't figured out dynamically how a BICYCLE works. This amazes me and astounds me and I'm probably going to spend a lot of today reading up on that.

Here, have a quick article on that!

Or load this pdf for MORE SCIENCE.

I'm having one of those days where I'm remembering why this stuff is FUN. In Controls lab, we got to play with the joystick for our bolted helicopter (yes, we play with helicopters now in my Controls lab). I suck at flying, which is good that I've no intent to actually learn to fly ("Follow the red line!" "WHAT RED LINE?" yeah).

But seriously. I'm having RIDICULOUS amounts of fun today. Even if searching google hasn't yielded much dynamical analysis yet. I SWEAR TO GOD IT IS THERE.

I should also do my structures homework... bah, but this is more interesting! XD OMG I FINISHED IT. WOW I AM AWESOME WHEN I WAKE UP EARLY ENOUGH AND HAVE A FULL LUNCH!

P.S. I now sort of want to make rocket cyborgs. I'D VOLUNTEER MYSELF.

P.P.S. First section of the poem finished!

rocket cyborgs? that sounds awesome!.

and i agree with you about the "none of your business" with regards to the election. nobody really understands anymore that many people find that a private thing. it's funny.

My girlfriend's in biomedical engineering now, and I'm in aerospace... it'd be a fun project. NO NEED FOR AN IRON SUIT IT IS IN YOU ALREADY!

Then again, I'm mildly obsessed with cyborgs and robot zombies.

It's very hard to think independently when they want you to do anything but.

Totally agree with you about the election. People have actually been calling my mom the last couple days and asking her who she's voting for. It goes a little like this:
"May I ask who you're voting for tomorrow?"
"No, actually, you may not."

Even though I have no idea what you're talking about with all of this science-y stuff, I think it's fun to read about you having fun with it! ^0^

Those are the pre-pollers, typically, who are trying to get a sort of idea because people like statistics.

I personally hate statistics and polls and everything that goes with them. Honestly, it's not like the old days were it took like, an entire week to sort it out (well, assuming things go right XD).

I know, but it seems like all of the pre-polling is kind-of pointless. (And I also thought it was funny that my mom told them off for it, since my mom hardly ever tells off anyone except family.) Why can't we just wait until the actual election?

assuming things go right XD
Yeah, darn Florida. XD

Well, it also helps them to canvass certain areas for the next set of elections.

I personally find the whole business distasteful. Part of the reason I completely cut myself off from the news and such, too. I don't like bullying or trendyness.

Yeah, attack ads get really old really fast.

Aren't rockets kind of short lived? Though that would probably make a fairly tragic superhero comic character.
