Well, so far this semester is going surprisingly well, despite the whole locking myself out of my trunk thing (I have the combo now, written in five billion different locations, and the hinges are secured back on). I even bruised my foot and I'm still in a good mood! Check it out:

- Thermo this semester has gone back to the old way, which sounds kind of like ass, but instead of the final being 40% of my grade, it's only 30%. This makes my life easier, to be honest. I just need to make sure to not suck on the in-class quizzes and to get all the Special Problems. Oh yeah, and with Special Problems this means less homework assigned in a week too. I like this.

- Aerodynamics was actually kind of hilarious this morning. One of the TAs is the same TA, who was awesome and we had a little "ah ha, I see you thar hiding in the back" sort of salute thing. Also apparently there were at least three dudes from the class last semester in it, and they recognized me and proceeded to make fun of the professor with me and I met a new dude. I think this means I'm in this semester, which is better. I mean, it's kind of annoying being off-semester of most people because you're OLD and stuff, but I can always count on the Aero Losers with a Sense of Humor to hang with. I was starting to get worried they were all Serious Students in the classes below me, which blew.

- A guy used a pick-up line on me to the extent of "hey there lady in red" (I'm wearing the awesome red coat today) and tried to get my IM (I guess people don't ask for numbers anymore). This was more amusing than annoying, oddly.

- I ate a fabulous lunch and read more of Tender Is The Night because I'm a dork that likes F. Scott Fitzgerald. My favorite character thus far is Rosemary's Mother, who basically just told her daughter to go ahead and screw around because she taught her to work, not be a trophy wife. Too bad it appears her appearances from now one will be brief.

- My favorite non-Aero lab is practically empty. I GOT DUAL MONITORS YEAH.

- Speaking of dual monitors, I figured out if I put the little fan I own on my computer it stops freaking out when I am in dual mode. Still should get that fixed FOR REALZ but finding time has been hard.

- Water, or possibly why not to drink it.

- Chick in fedora on Sartorialist. Yay!

- A handling getting fired article that I am linking mostly because the picture cracks me the hell up.

Yay! I keep running into people with a huge dislike of him. I find his writing extremely charming. XD

I would have been all for said pick-up line if your boy had started serenading you with 'Lady in red'.

Mmm, 80s ballads (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OcWspfgk9c8)

I think that the best way of getting fired is to make it memorable. But I suppose that's not a good way to rehire someone. Also, adorable chick in hat, great boot, I'd hit on you in that coat.

:) Good luck on courses. I'm glad you're feeling confidant going in.
