OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG
I LOVE MY PROFESSOR FOR THE MECHANICAL ENGINEERING CLASS I'M TAKING. AND I LOVE THE CLASS. SCHOOL ENTHUSIASM HAS RETURNED.
See, it's vehicle dynamics, which means I now have wheels to deal with. And springs. BUT IT IS MODELING BASED. AS IN APPLIED INSTEAD OF THEORETICAL. And the professor is SO AWESOME. You can tell he likes teaching and adores the subject matter. I'm SHOCKED BEYOND BELIEF that the class is so small (can't be much more than 15 people, for serious). I can see why Professor California told me to take this class. Now I need to think of a moniker for this professor. I'll give it a few days. XD
And Composites also may be fun. I think this means the class I'm dropping at the end of the week is math. Sure, I may be shooting myself in the foot waiting until my last semester to take it, but I don't think I can honestly handle it with Thermo and Aerodynamics--which I need both to take my propulsion class. At the very least, if I end up failing math, it'll be the ONLY requirement left to take and I'm sure I can work a deal with my adviser to take it at the university in my hometown and not replace the grade, but fulfill the requirement. I mean, how lame would that be, not giving me a diploma over a MATH CLASS? Not that I intend on failing it in the Fall, but I can at least get into the easier version of it then and will (hopefully) only be taking two other classes with it, even if one of those is Senior Design.
I hope that I won't have to drop one of my electives... I like them. Well, out of the two of them, I like Vehicle Dynamics better, for sure. It's project based! The homework is for practice, not grading! The professor is FUN. Though I am now the Pet Aero, as all the other students are in ME and prof will now probably call on me for anything involving flying stuff. Which will probably be hilarious. And he offered to explain some ME stuff I might not have gotten into, being in Aero and all (I told him I was in the class because I loved Dynamics and ran out of classes in my own major to take regarding it and he smiled at that... but it's true!).

Date: 2009-01-13 02:02 am (UTC)The crazy was fun and thoughtful. A frilly handkerchief is something I've sort of wanted but never bought because I've had my dad's to steal even if they aren't girly. So thanks again.
