Massive "WORD" to the increased distancing of humanity - I've had friends tell me - friends! - that they prefer to text message me because they feel awkward on the phone. And these are smart, interesting, eloquent (well, most of the time...) people. I miss Japan in that respect, where people nodded and bowed almost as a rule, even in Tokyo, where there was hardly space for such gestures! Maybe the train culture binds them closer - no space TO be distant, so they learn to live side-by-side? Hrm.
In any case, I hope you enjoyed your tea, slept well, and am inspired by the fact you've inspired others to go out there and break into others' bubbles. (Kinda. ^_~)
