You've really touched on the point, I think. It's just... ugh. I feel like the whole point of this whole "love" message was lost on my Highschool.
And, like I said above, when someone doesn't feel safe, it doesn't make that person weak. It's got nothing to do with weakness. Personal safety has nothing to do with being strong or not. There is always someone meaner and bigger down the lane, and when you are somewhere that provides a service, like a school, then I think that the people being served, the students, are entitled to safety.
