FF Dead Girlfriends

I have a terrible cosplay idea.



So, after playing the part of FFIV where I see Anna's ghost and being struck by how adorable she is and stuff, I kind of want to do a FF Dead Girlfriends cosplay with people. I am already making a Daryl costume, so that helps, but I would basically make Anna's dress for anyone if they'll wear it, I think it's lovely (and I unfortunately look DEAD in the bad way in yellow).

Only, well, we should zombie make-up it up too. And have a few dead boyfriends as well. I'm thinking like:

Anna, Rydia's Mom (FFIV)
Rachel, Daryl, others I don't remember as readily cause lots of people die (FFVI)
Lucrecia, Ifalna, Aeris (hey technically! XD) (FFVII)
Julia, Raine (FFVIII)
some dudes I don't know because I couldn't get through this game (FFIX)
Jecht...because he's everyone's dead boyfriend. ALSO BRASKA. And Yuna's mom and Seymour's mom. FFX HAS A LOT OF DEATH TOO. (FFX)
Lenne (FFX-2)
Ashe's Husband? HAVE NOT PLAYED THIS GAME OK I DON'T KNOW IF HE COMES BACK OR ANYTHING (FFXII)

I'm pretty sure that every FF has SOMEONE that constitutes as a Dead Girlfriend at some point, and it'd be fun to be these characters that are so often just plot points for angst! And zombie makeup!

FFIX Dead Girlfriends...

FFIX... well, Queen Brahne dies, but thinking of her as a Dead Girlfriend requires a lot of mental contortion. A couple of cities are utterly destroyed, but I can't think of anyone who isn't a nameless NPC or villain who ends up dead from that. The closest thing I can think of to an actual, factual "dead girlfriend" is Kuja, and... yeah.

FFIX is definitely the FF game with the least death, I'd say.

If I were doing more cosplay at this point, I'd consider trying Rachel or someone.

Would Cecil's parents count since they show up in the DS version? In IX the adorable younger Summoner's parents and grandfather are mentioned as dead for angst reasons and her Mog buddy dies then becomes a summoning. The the adorable black mage's grandfather's dead is a big part of his character. Vaan's brother's death was mostly for Vaan's angst. Though I'm not sure if any of those would count.

Rly? Granted I've only been to...four cons in my life so far (sad, I know) but I only have photographic evidence of one. :\

IF YOU/WE DO THIS FOR OTAKON I WANT TO BE EITHER (A) RACHEL OR (B) ZOMBIE JECHT. I WILL ALREADY HAVE THE JECHT COSTUME SO I CAN JUST GET ZOMBIED OUT AND IT WOULD BE EFFING AWESOME.
