Thursday

Wisely took the full day off work, as I had finishing touches to do and some last minute packing. Managed not to forget anything for costumes that was vital--did manage to forget deodorant and a brush. XD Flight was supposed to leave at 3:30... didn't leave until nearly 6 due to a storm in Baltimore. Sat in the airport and cockblocked this annoying guy from Long Island as he obnoxiously hit on this lady next to me, who clearly wanted to be left alone. Ended up explaining Otakon and videogame design to her, among other things.

Met part of the Walking Ruckus at BWI, where we almost waited on the light rail... only to be rescued by Jesus and justira in the partywagon. Where there was pie and cookies. So we had a ride to the hotel.

Then there was picking up our badges and getting weapons from gerodere! Yay!

Somewhere in there the rest of the walking ruckus arrived and we had beer and chinese food and explored the internet.

Friday

We didn't have to be anywhere for a while, so after delicious continental breakfast we decided to hit up the pool. I'm a weenie that gets cold, so I mostly dipped, but AJ managed to hit on the lifeguard, a whirlpool was created, and Jesus snuck his bar in through the back door.

Then I put on my Daryl costume, drakonlily dressed up in Setzer, seventhe was SeeD!Quistis and safety_caesars dressed up as Old Greg, the scaley man-fish.

I found one of my favorite artists and got this.

Then we changed to our all-FF8 costumes and went to the Irish Bar, where Seifer was a douche and I got cold and had to wear a Squall jacket, since Ellone's costume has no sleeves. Also a photoshoot somewhere in there.

Dennis, AJ, and Sev proceeded to become TRON and stop the con.

Saturday

EPIC FFX GROUP DAY.

After a somewhat rushed time getting to the shuttle, we arrived, to see gerodere was already in her Shiva costume and getting fabulous pictures taken. ifotismeni was in her kickass Anima costume as well. Several of the members had gathered near the bottom of the fountain, and we posed for a couple pictures.

Then we hiked on over to some pretty terrace, hung with the dudes, and when our ORIGINAL PILGRIMAGE shot came up, we got a few awesome pics in before the fire alarm went off.

Had to relocate to the Hyatt, where another photographer caught up with us who... we thought was our later one but was in fact not. ACCIDENTALLY KIDNAPPED PHOTOGRAPHER. HA HAHA.

Once the pics were taken and we were starving, we decided that the cafe in the Hyatt was a great place to eat. The people were accommodating of our large weapons, even if Dennis was dressed up like the Joker and thus not trustworthy.

Strongest bloody mary ever happened, and I proceeded to rant, including a visual demonstration or two.

Headed back to the hotel, Jesus donned his buddy costume and mixed drinks, TRON happened again, and we all headed back to the con, a little "over enthusiastic".

Couple of us headed back early. The rest got into a lot of shenanigans. XD

Sunday

Much tired. Hit the dealer's room and bought campy campy anime, though no action figures this year as none were ones I was VERY interested in. We eventually headed to the airport, had some DuClaw, and went on our way.

Managed to find some manga I was looking for at the con in the airport Border's, bought it. XD

Came home, slept for a very very long time.
