Day 7 - Favorite Anime Couple
Jacuzzi & Nice, Baccano!
They. Are. So. Effin. Cute. Jacuzzi got the tattoo on his face because Nice accidentally exploded part of hers and has a huge scar (she likes explosives... a lot). I mean, that's devotion. Right there. Plus Jacuzzi is like this BIG COWARD (which I love him for) but where his friends, and especially Nice is concerned he gets all, "BETTER WATCH OUT I WILL GET YOOOOU" and I like that sort of crouching moron hidden badass kinds of things.
AND THEY ARE CUTE.
Day 8 - Most epic scene ever
The last big battle, Last Exile
I really loved all the aerial battles in this show, and well, when it's the BATTLE TO TAKE DOWN THE GUILD fuck, it had better be epic. AND IT WAS. What happened in the command ship and how the Big Bad was taken down (RATHER POETICALLY TOO) was also epic, but the SHIPS.
That series is so pretty why do I not have an airship?
Day 9 - Saddest Anime Scene
CERTAIN CHARACTER DEATH (so you're not spoiled, and really, not knowing ahead of time HITS YOU IN THE GUT), RahXephon
So, that's just the song that plays, and seriously the SONG ALONE makes me cry. Because it is probably one of the most HORRIFIC deaths in the entire series, considering who the character is, who kills them, and how, and you've got this BEAUTIFUL SAD MUSIC PLAYING and it was the last episode on a certain disc and seriously, IT REALLY GOT TO ME AND I DIDN'T HAVE THE WHOLE SERIES YET AND ALMOST CONSIDERED NOT WATCHING MORE IT WAS SO SAD. And that uplifting sounding part at the end? IS TOTALLY WHEN THE PERSON WHO JUST KILLED THE OTHER ONE REALIZES THEY DID BECAUSE IT WAS COMPLETELY ACCIDENTAL.
Music nerdy moment; that song is a variation on a theme that is used throughout the series, but that is probably the most GUT-WRENCHING use of it. I mean, it was actually rather artful, both the scene and the song, but it really gets to me.
