Good and Bad

The Good: I went to a very fun world music festival on Friday, where I got to forget about my stresses for a bit and chill out and dance and stuff. It was very needed and I'm glad I got asked to come along. I know it's been a good night when I don't come home until morning.
The Bad: Upon coming home, I was greeted by worried parents who said that Pepper (one of our cats, the one I usually talk about is Salt because he's more active) hadn't been eating, even when they put the soft wet food in front of him. Very out of character! So they were taking him to the vet later that morning.
Well, he didn't make it to the vet, because he passed on the way there.
I have to admit, I'm glad I wasn't in the car, because I have seen a cat die on my watch and it really shook me up. This combined with being out nearly all night meant I spent the day in bed watching things on my laptop and generally being a slug.
At least Salt is ok, Pepper had been slowing down over the past couple months and the vet (not the one that gave us Hartz products, mind) said that he probably had a minor stroke earlier and it finally caught up with him. The fact that animals have strokes too kind of boggles me. But I guess it makes sense.
And hey, at least all my friends seem to be doing alright. I'm going to get out of bed and DO THINGS today, maybe get started or finish several art-like projects. Sitting in bed for two days can't be healthy.
