crankyoldmanSo, I've been working on my Ohayocon costumes. Closer to the wire than I'd like it to be, but eh.
I bought most of this costume:
Because it would be silly for me to make it myself. Haruka's a pretty classy lady, so parts of the costume will EASILY integrate into my wardrobe. I happen to know a hairstylist that should be able to cut my black wig to match Harurka's lovely haircut, so yay.
My sister's Megumi costume, on the other hand, is a little more difficult.
It's ADORABLE, but very well, impossible in real life. Her top defies the laws of physics. I just hope I get it to hang right on my sister so it doesn't look bad. The shorts I'm gonna have to dye, too. The shoes will be my first foray into some srs business shoe covers, so we'll see how that goes. XD Also the pinks are a NIGHTMARE to match exactly.
I managed to get most of the big work, but not the finishing work on my surprise costume. Which is AWESOME considering I thought it would take forever. I still need to buy the prop base, but hey, I've got another weekend yet. So yay!
