It's been a really long time since I last saw S6, from what I remember though I don't think the show ever fully recovered from the massive shark jump that was S5, but it tried and came close at times in S6. It was a mixed bag but there were some decently good eps. The Missy Good-penned ones were alright ("Old Ares Had a Farm" I think was one of them? that was pretty hilarious IIRC). And there was that one lulzy Beowulf story arc that was cool just for Xena-as-Valkyrie and the whole "making the subtext maintext" deal. There were a couple of fun Amazon episodes too.
