Finishing Games!

This is apparently a great de-stress thing as well. I just finished my second playthrough of Silent Hill 2.
I know you're thinking, "oh god, but you haven't finished MGS or BOF3 or FFX-2 or started the bajillion other PS2 games you got for cheap". And you would be right. But I really liked playing SH2 in October last year, and I just felt like it again this year. It's very seasonally appropriate.
THERE IS SO MUCH SYMBOLISM EVERYWHERE I DIDN'T NOTICE THE FIRST TIME BECAUSE I WAS FREAKED OUT THE FIRST TIME. No, seriously. NOTHING in this game is accidental, and if it is, well I can't tell. From the mannequin with the flashlight having MARY'S CLOTHES ON to some of the graffiti... asd;fdadfdl. AWESOME.
While there were certain things and areas that still creeped me out (hi nurses, plzgothefuckaway), the fact that I was expecting more things made me much calmer. And I shot at things less because I didn't mind them coming close enough for me to beat with a steel pipe.
Steel pipe = MY NEW FAVORITE.
I also played this on Normal mode, where I was a weenie last time and played on Easy. This might have contributed to the nearly double the playing time I took, but mostly it seemed actually on pace with my ability level. Yay!
I got the Maria Ending this time, which is what I really wanted the first time but was impossible. Because Maria is my Favorite. There's something wonderfully creepy about her (well she should be given what she probably is) about her to begin with, but GOD HER ENDING JUST AUGMENTS JAMES' CREEPY SO MUCH.
Anyway, I love this game. It was nice to finish it again. Now onto others!
