Hello Distractions

crankyoldmanWas working on a Teacher's Guide for the Aero Game and fixing the goddamn glossary again, most of today, though periodically distracted by Things.
- So I went to the heart doctor today and now I have a couple tests I have to do. They drew blood, so they can see if perhaps I have a crazy thyroid. Oh and I've lost 5 lbs over the month (and no, this is not a positive thing on my frame). One test is on Monday and the other requires me to have a monitor thingie throughout the month. Goody!
- Yuletide tag set is up. All the fandoms I nominated got in, because I'm awesome like that. Even though I usually use Yuletide as an excuse to not write for a videogame fandom (I've written mostly for movies, with last year being when I wrote for a music video), I think that I'm gonna break that rule this year. Because I want to promote more videogame fandoms, because they are awesome. And it's going to be hard to decide what to request (aside from one) vs. what to offer because wow, I've actually played a lot more videogames since I started writing for Yuletide! :D Oh and signups are open now!
- Tai Chi helps, at least the day thatwhitemage and I do it. This week I will do some on my own as well. Tomorrow probably, since I got home so late on account of my morning being taken up with the doctor's appt.
- I'm slowly inching into the Dark Time of the Year, and I am kind of annoyed that it's sneaking up on me and starting to have an effect so quickly (see: my inability to sleep more than 3 hours a night the past few days). I blame effing daylight savings time. Why did this state go on it, things were more even before! I lost my sunlight slower! D:
- Several chapters into Catching Fire and I wish Peeta would catch fire. Author, what is this fucking nonsense with forcing your protagonist into a fake relationship? I'm failing to see the narrative value in this charade no seriously. Also, Katniss hasn't shot/stabbed anything yet. Remedy that. I also have mixed feelings on the handling of District 11. At least Cinna is back, I missed him.
- I am so glad I have proper curry powder now, all my foods have become enlivened.
That was kind of a mixed bag, wasn't it?
