I only wanted to post to share some stuff I found on my RSS feeds yesterday.

Alright, I've been meaning to get healthier for a while. I used to be a track runner back in high school (200 m sprint and high jump... I was buff for a little person) but in between getting desk jobs and essentially starving for a year I've lost most of my muscle mass. I mean, I've gained enough weight to not be dangerously skinny, but I find myself winded on too many stairs (granted, it's a LOT of stairs to get to my math class, but still).

So I've been looking around at various exercise and health sites and they all have one thing in common: they focus on losing weight. Which is so not what I need to do. I lose any more weight and I'll look like an Olsen twin. XD So not cool.

But then, of course, one of my favorite bloggers posted this nifty article.

And I went "ah ha!".

Since I'm trying to live in the dorms and hence have regular access to food this coming semester, this makes me a happy camper. Except for all the stuff about peanuts, as I am deathly allergic to the things. But red meat? Totally into that. I loooove meat. The whole grain thing will take an adjustment (I love carbs, but I like them as bleached and unhealthy as possible).

Cutting out the caffeine really showed me just how bad I am about eating enough to keep my energy levels up. When you're not eating much, caffeine and sugar can sometimes be the only things keeping you going.

Not that I've ever been a health nut (that's more my sister, miss "omg soda will keeeel you") but I'd kind of like to quit taxing my heart so much. And stop being so tired all the time. Remembering to take my vitamin (I have to keep it in my desk drawer, else I forget. XD) has helped a little.

XD Good thing I keep a regular notebook on... everything.

Alright, enough of that. Time to get back to studying. And eat something. XD

Don't forget vitamin D! Dairy is not a reliable source of the stuff and in the winter especially a lot of people run low. It affets all sorts of health issues and can even prevent some cancers. Not to mention the whole osteoperosis warding effects! Not sure what's in that vitamin you alluded to but really, Vitamin D!

It's a complete multivitamin. And yeah, I tend to run low, methinks. XD
