Finally got some new running shoes. The ones I had the sole was coming off the right one, which was probably bad for my joints. So yay no more injury! I can get back to my workout schedule.
Since I forgot my Target gift card, I went to the mall. The mall is hilarious when you're wearing headphones that people assume you're listening to music on. Yes, that's trickery, but salespeople left me alone and people carry on some of the funniest conversations. I have discovered also who the Scariest Shoppers Evar are: Mothers with children in strollers.
I kid you not.
They use the stroller to block you from the racks you're interested in, meander their way through anywhere, and give you dirty looks if you get near their precious children (aka: props). Oh, that's unfair. I was more amused by this behavior than pissed off, because it is funny how militant some women get for OMGDEALS. I picked a good weekend to go, because they're starting to clear out the winter stock. Which is ridiculous as it's not going to be warm here for at LEAST another month.
Also, sizes have really gotten wonky these days. I mean, I picked up a poofy sleeved blazer (I need an exceedingly frilly shirt to go under it, tight pants, and a rapier, then I can be dashing) that was a size 10. Normally I'm a pretty solid 3/4. And the thing fits. They so crazy, these garment makers.
Blink is a good book so far. Very interesting. Whacked out psychological theories are fun.
Oh, and tea is apparently one of those Universal Topics of Bonding. Girl fussing over her hair in the bathroom while I was doing dishes noticed I had like, two tea balls and a bunch of mugs. I mentioned that I wouldn't have to do dishes if I weren't so fond of tea and then it got to discussing our favorites. It's actually rare to see someone that's fond of black tea these days, considering how trendy green and fruit teas are. Offered to make her some Darjeeling, because I have it in loose leaf and Darjeeling is so different when loose.
Now to finish cleaning my room. When I get to studying more, basic cleanup gets forgotten a little. At least I've gotten as bad as I used to be. I'm kind of impressed at how neat I've been this semester.
God, I love using the Nina icon. She's just so fabulously scary.
