P.P.S. But what are your thoughts on yaoi? The mind boggles.

Ugh. I may have literally growled while reading this. While I have no doubt that there is a lot of accuracy to some of the points, the sweeping generalizations made me sincerely want to bite. Points:

- Slash fanfiction is not radical feminism. Neither is it in support of the partiarchy. It's not inherently anything except perhaps (now) a genre of story. I can't say WHY it appeals to so many of us, although I can venture theories, (because it's a previously side lined category of stores, because it allows the exploration of different kinds of relationships, because it's hot <.<) but I can tell you that this author needs a good punching.

- Women DO exist and boy is lesbianism ever allowed. Now please and thank you.

- Anyone who's been around long enough to outgrow their tweens knows that real slash fanfiction is not about a man in the dominant role and a man in the feminine role. Sometimes this may happen, but it is purely character based. If we wanted the story to be about a men and women we'd write about men and women.

- My boys don't run off and get married and live happily ever after because they live in a constrained society with certain expectations and difficulties. Not because I can't imagine them choosing a lifelong homosexual relationship.

That is all. XD
