We were playing MGS4 when the first of them arrived. Afraid of the power going out due to these torrential rains. My family's in another state so... I'm not sure if it's reached them yet. Anyone in Ohio?
Of course, the rain only makes it worse... as the heavy clay soil was keeping them down in their boxes like they should stay. Oh I wish we were more into cremations like other cultures. I always thought burials were creepy, now... at least we're lucky. Who'd have thought computer nerds had such survival skills? We've assembled some weapons in case they get past our barracade of mainframe computers... the university must be holding its own, considering I still have internet. The makeshift taser is a thing of brilliance, too bad there might not be anything left for us to show it off.
It won't be safe here for long, we're too exposed, too many windows. Being on the second floor was good for a while, but our IT guy went downstairs to see if anyone was still there... and didn't come back. The bosses are assembling an arsenal of their own to make it to their van and see if their children have been infected, but I don't hold much hope for kids that young. I'm glad I'm not a parent.
The minions and I think M's SUV will be a good vehicle to use, that way we can make it to my house, which is isolated and has more food. All we have is beer and spoiled take-out leftovers. J's taser will come in handy, the dash to the parking lot isn't going to be fun, but there might be more later...
Maybe the Mayans were right. This is the beginning of the end! Though they were off by about four years. I had plans, damn you ancient people that don't check their math! I should have watched more horror movies, maybe I'd have been more prepared. At least I've secured myself a decent club-like weapon.
Ok, ok. We're going for it. I doubt I'll have internet out in the country but if I get some I'll be sure to update.

By the way, read this to make sense of what I just said.Edit: M said it might be a good idea if I used his phone to broadcast what's going on, since the cellphones appear to be working. I'll use my
twitter account, for any of the other poor souls out here in Indiana.
