Today was windy and busy with work stuffs. Windy was good, because it was WARM, but work stuffs was mildly frustrating. Hopefully it'll be well on Monday. I'm nervous. Have a meme instead!

retail therapy
Dec. 28th, 2008 09:03 pmWow, so I'm not a huge shopper. Sounds odd, considering how much of a style dork I am, but I get a lot of hand-me-downs, I recycle stuff a lot, and well, I find things. I rarely actually BUY stuff that's not, well, electronics or food related. I don't spend whole days shopping. I'm like the very odd combination of man and woman stereotypical shopping styles--I get in and get what I need when I need it, but I don't rush myself and browse (just without buying). I'm extremely easy to shop with because I'm not terribly fussy, either (my sister, on the other hand...).
I spent pretty much the entire day shopping with my sister, since she's going to be back in school the week before me and we had gift cards. Gift cards + after Christmas sales = awesome.
We also went and saw The Spirit. Which I kind of loved. It's not for everyone, though. It fits with my warped sense of humor and desire to see villains just be crazy psychopaths who are psychopaths because they just can be (Samuel L. Jackson can deliver that, I tell ya). It was cheesy. It was full of all sorts of cliches. And I loved it. Next one to see is Valkyrie, because um... yeah.
But the exciting thing is I got a new coat.
There's nothing TERRIBLY wrong with my current coat, except it's a little tattered. It was my mom's originally, and it used to only be a special occasions coat. But then I moved to the frigid north where a coat that wasn't wool (even the fancy arctic wear stuff didn't work) meant I was cold. So I started wearing it basically all the time. And it's a sort of 80s cut, so it fit a little strange. I'll still wear it some days, because my new coat is a little shorter, and certain weather conditions I wouldn't want to subject it to yet, but I think it was time to get a new one. Now is prolly one of the better times to buy a coat, since they're preparing for spring and crap. I'll take pictures at some point. Because I love it a lot.
I did good, really. Is it wrong to be excited to fit into more Women's stuff now? It's just so much more classier than the Junior's section. If only I fit in the pants. Can't have everything. XD Tim Gunn would be proud.
