- Lesson learned: never spraypaint while on an empty (well, except for tea) stomach. In fact, never go out to the airport lab without food ever again. Oy. That was interesting.

- I have made friends with several of the shop guys out there, because my usage of made up words is amusing or something. They helped me remember how to spray paint without being fail at it (it's been a while).

- Since waiting for paint to dry is boring and altogether futile, I read a lot of Spindle's End today. [profile] astralavator, I think you'd like it.

- I really don't want to work on my thermo.

Interesting links!

- Random design shit like this is infinitely interesting.

- Well isn't that gimicky as all hell.

- It's like Pandora, except it's a search engine!

Mostly because [profile] ambienteye always has fun questions. And I won't be interviewing anyone else unless they missed the last time I did this and really want me to.

1. What is your favorite and least favorite item of clothing and will you take a picture of them?

If I had a camera, I would. But I have a picture of my current favorite item of clothing. I may take a picture of the Least Favorite when I go home, because it is rather awful.

Favorite: My Vera Wang purple wrap sweater. It's very soft, light enough to wear when it's warm, thin enough to wear over a couple of layers when it's cold, and overall nicely made. I'm not a label whore, really, but I know when something is hype and when something is quality. That's quality. I also got it for a ridiculously cheap amount.Plus it works when I want to be girly. And also when I want to be cool. XD A very close second is my tweedy professor jacket, which I had a hard time not wearing every day this fall.

Least Favorite: My giant huge white hooded sweatshirt with my school's name on it. Blasphemy, I know, but this sweatshirt is WAY too big, plus, it's WHITE. White is bad color for an oversized piece of clothing, because it drags into things easily and gets stains. In fact, the first day I wore it I accidentally sat in chocolate and because it was so huge it went over my butt I had a huge brown BLECH on it. Only reason I still own it is my mom got it for me and she was so happy about it. She's since figured out that I tend to sort of hide the oversized things she gets me (my mom hides what she doesn't like about herself with big clothes. I'd rather something fit well than be huge) and she managed to find this nice fleece zip-up with my school name on it that is tastefully understated and useful for the weather. I love my mom, but we've been having battles over clothes since I was about five. Not to sound bratty, but she always wanted me to wear aqua and stirrup pants and I always wanted to wear grey and carry around a pipe. C'est la vie.

Plus, I've rather grown to hate sweatshirts. There are five billion other ways to stay warm. I'm a person that doesn't have much insulation and I only own two sweatshirts (one's an old zip-up of my dad's that I cut thumb-holes in which I wear only when I'm back from class and feel schlumpy).

2. You have the opportunity to help engineer a rocket or design a video game, but not both. WHAT DO YOU CHOOSE?

The rocket, no question. If only because NASA sort of keeps pissing me off lately and I want to get in their faces. Ha, that sounds a little confrontational. Maybe it is. Plus I've already helped with a video game, ha.

3. What is your favorite LJ community?

It's a tie between [community profile] saucydwellings and [profile] blackcigarette at the moment. The latter I just recently found, so I may get tired of it. I'm not really a member of either, I RSS a lot of LJ comms, because I like to read my LJ f-list for my LJ friends, who like to lock their entries and make it hard for me to RSS. XD But they help feed my desire to see pretty things and sometimes inspire me when I feel like making something. A sense of aesthetics is what keeps me from going crazy some days.

4. What was your favorite school supply in 2nd grade?

My black pencil with the solar system on it. I had a whole set and I saved one and didn't sharpen it. In fact, I still have that pencil. Because I'm a dork that keeps school supplies I like.

5. If you could steal any single person's skill/knowledge, whose would you steal?

Richard Feynman's. That man not only knew his shit, but he could talk about it in a way that normal people could understand. That's some skillz.

Fantastic sweaters are fantastic. And that melting clock in the background!

That's a good idea, about RSSing LJ communities. I'm a member in a lot of communities but don't like them to show up on my main f-list, because that's for reading friends. That might be a good way to solve it.

That's my workplace. They're fun people with quirky decorating sense.

RSS does a lot. For the communities that I like being a member of, in case I post, I just filter them out of my default reading list, so that when I log into LJ it's basically just journals. I am a fiend for RSS.

My parents might have that one. I think one of my sister bought it awhile back. When I'm over there next I shall go and check it out.
