Ha, beat the final boss without turning into a dragon.

Also, I know I'm not supposed to be, but I was really fond of Garr and I was sad when he statue-ized himself. And PECO IS THE FUCKING TREE HOLY COW.

And omg the ending shot it was just so sad-hopeful, it was perfect. AND THE LITTLE GREEN SHOOT COMING OUT OF THE SAND IN THE "FIN" SCREEN. YES. PERFECT.

God I love Momo. And Rei. Also those two need to hook up liek whoa.

AND NINA. IF I REPLAY YOU ARE GONNA BE IN MY LAST PARTY I PROMISE (I used Momo and Rei this playthrough).

And omg the bad ending (which I also did).... so sad

80 hours... not bad for an RPG. I kind of skipped the fishing mini-game entirely and got distracted from the Faerie Village once the plot picked up. Also I've never been one for sidequests.

I think that this means, despite my adoration of RPG plotlines, I am really more of an adventure game type. I'm not much of a grinder and sidequests that take me too far off the main plotline kind of bore me. XD

Of course, I'm still going to play a bajillion more RPGs, cause I do really like the storylines and characters about 90% of the time. XD It's just now I've played enough RPGs from different series myself to make a proper value judgment.

You know, i've played BOF3 at least three times and gotten hung up at the desert or heading up to the satellite so I've never gotten to the Really Final Boss Battle. MUST FINISH THIS GAME. It was so cute in an 8-bit way.

It's been years since my last playthrough, but I still remember Rei's tagline. He was such an endearing character.
