The dirt on your Spring Break
Mar. 17th, 2008 12:00 pmAlright, so my dynamics class was HILARIOUS this morning. Jersey Highwind didn't particularly feel like getting out of his Spring Break mode (apparently he spent his time blacksmithing, which consists of "making tools or making things... I made more tools than things because things are supposed to be pretty") so he asked us to relay ours. And he poked and prodded until all the people that went to places like Florida and Las Vegas spilled some stories. And then he commented about brain cell loss. Best line was "well, if you've got extra brain cells, alcohol is good to help you get rid of them."
As for my break, I have a new bike, rations, a new haircut (now with more spikiness!), and a book from work. Yes, the people at work bought me a book. It's called Dungeons and Desktops. <3 I'll get on it once I"m done with Blink and other urgent things like, well, my programming lab assignment that I sort of put off all week. >.>
I love my new bike. I was all excited for it to be warm enough to use my old bike, but apparently one of my dad's experiments in architecture did not prove formidable against the wind back home. So it was squished. The amount of "I told you that wouldn't stay up" which my mom was saying was hilarious. My parents are great.
It's apparently a drinking holiday and I have no one to go out with. I'm thinking about buying myself a nice meal instead. Hrm. Debates. Maybe tomorrow, I've got a lot going on today. Dear drinking holidays: stop falling on days I cannot partake!
Oh, and I finally have my steampunk!Edea dress here, so I can work on it whenever I have time. Means I need to buy some better black thread, though, because I want to make sure the repairs look nice.

P.S. This video is both amazing and disturbing. Makes me think of my great grandmother and grandmother, who were both ridiculously bad compulsive hoarders.
