Transitional Season

crankyoldmanI love transitional seasons. I don't hate winter or summer because of temperature, I hate them because of stagnation. Winter slightly more because there is less sun and cold.
Good things this wonderful season has brought have been:
- Got to spend the weekend with my Ladyfriend, in a quaint town somewhere halfway between our current cities of dwelling. Found Best Restaurant, which had Fancy Salt, found Possibly a Gaybar or a Strip Club Couldn't Tell, and generally just relaxed for a bit. Was needed!
- Everything smells better. I dunno why, but summer kind of smells like burnt, fall smells like burning. There's a difference.
- I have managed to get all the math sorted out for the mechanics behind a lot of the Aero game. It was good for my ego to remind the programmers that I am better at math than they are. It was not easy simplifying thermodynamics and orbital mechanics into something that our programmers could understand and base game rules around.It all comes down to the proper use of Newton.
- I got an email from one of the professors at the grad program I applied to last year, letting me know about an Open House next month. Being on their radar is a good thing. Hopefully they'll get the impression that I will keep applying until I get in. XD
- Have three stories going, one of which I need to actually finish for![[community profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/community.png)
megaflare_ff. Epic Shera Story (which is not Epic as much as it is about Shera's backstory) will hopefully be the one. We'll see. Also have a Chocobo Races story for ff_exchange, as Team Tonberry will not fail.
