So I got my tire model to work. And I figured that in the spirit of actually understanding what's going on, I'd share the fuckyeahawesome that is my tire model.
( ha ha, prolly should cut this for pictures. )
Gah, this is why procrastination is bad!
Apr. 8th, 2008 05:33 pmSo, tomorrow I have:
- A history exam (2:30 pm)
-Dynamics hw due (10:30 am)
- VB prelab due (7:30 am)
Taking the weekend off was good for sanity, but bad for productivity. XD Oh well. At least I got the first half of my laundry done (as I break it up over two days, much better that way and less likely for some snotty wench to come in and move my clothes despite the fact I set a timer so it's usually only been sitting for like, five minutes). Also have gone through and highlight coded my notes and flagged the appropriate chapters in the books (yes, I'm bad and don't ever keep up with readings... I'm a skimmer by nature). As I managed to miss most of the Darwin in class (I think that was while I was feeling under the weather) I will need to read that from the book. Considering the ridiculously awesome curve for history exams (you get an A if you've above 75%, I kid you not) I'm not so worried. Just hate the feeling when time is crunched.
Sad thing is, the amount of activity annoys me more because I want to work on other projects. Like sewing, the sorceress-a-thon story I have an idea for, my
imaginarybeasts story for this month, hell even some icons I have the bases for but none of the finished product yet. Spring makes me antsy, and sitting and being a good student has never sat well with me around now. XD
Linkage:
- A good FF8 story about General Caraway, who I have a soft spot for.
- A discussion on the legitimacy of scholarship, well, a beginning of one at least.
- Advice on sleeping. May or may not try some of this.
- Iron Chef game! Someone on the inside told me about this. ~_^
- Boycotts, a thing of the past?
- Urban camoflage by The Sartorialist.

Mini-Essays for Dynamics Class
Feb. 20th, 2008 08:32 amGod, a lot of my stuff is starting to sound like a manifesto. For some background, keep in mind the context, the whole "inner and outer world" idea is that the mental and abstract processes constitute an inner world, where external influences and objects constitute the outer. Edit: This inner/outer world was provided to us as a concept, hence the linked questions. While this is a little more simplified than I usually like my concepts (and you can tell by how my answers tend to ask questions back), but that's what I had to work with.
Also note I wrote this in a fit of inspiration mere hours from when it was due. Oh, if only I could tame my writing experience to work better on cue.
( why don't all my engineering classes get into this kind of thing, well, ever? )

Suffice to say, I really didn't want to wake up this Monday. Just, really did. not. want. It's cold again, and due to the sleeping situation this weekend, I had a real sense of vertigo about where the hell I was. So I missed Dynamics, which made me sad, because apparently there's an essay assigned.
Yes. Essay. Dear Prof Jersey Highwind, you rock.
So some things.
- Hooray I finally upped the Midgar FST. I may be a white girl, but I've got soul, dammit. I have to admit, doing one for a place as opposed to people let me have far too much fun. Part of me wants to do one for Spira now (or god forbid, Balamb).
- Did some major housekeeping for
ff_fanlisting, which meant I totally copied the same comment onto several entries. Not to be annoying, but the better you maintain a standard on a comm like that, the easier it is to find things, which is the aim. Speaking of, I totally know some of you still should make a profile...
tijuana_pirate I still need to make a poll one of these days, because I'm seriously considering mirroring it on insanejournal, because I know there's a section of fandom that hangs out there. And since I have semagic, admin entries can all be made at the same time. Hmm. I'd need a partner over there too, though, is the thing.
- Reading music blogs has been good for me. Also knowing that not all pop music sucks and that if I strategically avoid it, I can keep off the risk of overexposure.
-
first_seventhe you totally owe me like, three Ziggy Stardust tracks by now. XD I didn't write any today, though.
- Dexter is pretty awesome. Then again, I like anything that involves disciplined crazy, which is a great deal of that show. Plus, there are adorable brother-sister moments that make me smile, and I'm fond of his girlfriend. I also like that most of his social interaction is very obviously faked, if you know how to look for it, which consideringmy dating history the kinds of things I find interesting in people says something. I need to read the books, dammit.
- Finally finished my book on psychological Flow, and I really want to dig up his one on creativity. As my paper really seems to be leaning in "how to cultivate creativity in adults" and how that relates to inventors, engineers, some scientists, etc. History exam on Friday is going to set me back a little on that, but I've still got time. Need to pester Prof JH about some specifics on the module he asked me to design.
- I really need to finish this damned lab. How did I totally forget to finish it for several days? At least it's not due until 10 pm.
- I don't want to go outside again, but Justin has my notes for class. Dammit. I'll just have to suck it up.
